And so we kicked off!

This year’s edition of TEDxKraków has well and truly been kicked off, with a great meeting last Wednesday. It was great to see some new faces and to experience the wave of enthusiasm. Thanks for coming!  We’re sure this year’s event is going to be fantastic!

The goal of the meeting was to explore what ideas and projects are out there in the TEDxKraków community and we used the Open Space Technology process to bring them to the light. And there was a lot to talk about :)

We were particularly happy that some faculty from Kraków’s universities came to the meeting and got right into a big discussion about how to bring TED to the staff and professors of Kraków’s universities – a kind of TEDx Uni. Another group came up with plans for make TEDxKraków Cinema come to life and we also had lots of ideas of how to promote TED and TEDxKraków using stickers, flashmobs, pop-up speeches as well as screenings in unusual places, so watch this space for more information about what to look out for, or ideas on how to get involved.

And finally, one group started working in earnest on our next event – the viewing party for the second day of TEDGlobal which will be streamed live from Edinburgh on Wednesday 13 July. This will be a rare occasion for you to see TED as it happens in real time and in the company of other TED fans, so make sure you put Wednesday 13 July in your diaries and keep an eye out for more info on this which will also be coming soon!

And don’t worry if you missed Wednesday’s meeting – there will be other occasions to get involved :) Stay tuned!
