Videos > Anna Nacher - Pomysly w Krakowie

About the talk:

It's often said about Kraków that everyone knows everyone else, so how is it that some initiatives gain popularity despite the fact that they have hardly any visible promotion while others, despite considerable promotion via the mainstream media, fail miserably. Anna Nacher is Assistant Professor at the Institute of Audiovisual Arts at the Jagiellonian University and the author "Urban culture -- nodes and flows", a 2012 study into the flow of information in our city. In her talk, she suggests new ways of thinking about communication within Krakow; rather than treating the audience as the scattered units belonging to different catergories based on age, education or identity, it is worth thinking about groups, nodes and associations, that are linked togeether in very complex networks.

Recorded during: TEDxKraków 2013
