Last month, we asked you to put your lecturers in their place by nominating them to speak at TEDxKraków 2012. Well, as we approach our deadline (that’s tomorrow, 30 June), we just wanted to share some results with you.
So far, we have received nominations for 32 professors. Of those, one professor was nominated eight times! Three of Kraków’s largest universities and colleges were best represented: nine nominations from Jagiellonian University (UJ), eight from the AGH University of Science and Technology, and six from the Cracow University of Economics (UEK). The subjects taught by the nominated lecturers varied widely, and included electronics, biocybernetics, philosophy, and European studies.
Because the campaign is still ongoing, we won’t have the results of the competition until August. But if you still haven’t nominated your favourite lecturer, do it now! The deadline is Saturday, 30 June: Nominate your lecturer today!
