TEDxKrakówCinema - a new initiative from TEDxKraków

We’ll be getting together to watch TEDTalks and TEDx talks and sharing the TED experience with Kraków

Each time we will focus on a different topic.

Why TEDTalks?

We’d like to create a comfortable space in Kraków for creative debates about the role of technology, education, human behaviour in creating a more harmonious future, where ideas are the source of intelligent and constructive collaboration rather than conflict.

This month

The third edition of TEDxKraków in 2012 (and the 7th edition ever) took place at Kino 18 (above Pauza). This time it was a bit different, as our community chose the theme - privacy - and we chose three TEDTalks to fit.

The talks explored the notion of privacy from different perspectives: from freedom and control in the virtual world, to attacks on our privacy in the net to the abuse of social media portals.

The discussion, which went on even after we retired downstairs for some post-event beers, led us to conclude that the subject is familiar to us and generates a lot of interest. Do we have any privacy at all on the internet? What's the value of our private data? Is it even possible to create a worldwide set of rules for the how we govern the internet? These are just some of the questions we explored and tried to find answers to.
