TEDxKrakówCinema - a new initiative from TEDxKraków

We’ll be getting together to watch TEDTalks and TEDx talks and sharing the TED experience with Kraków

Each time we will focus on a different topic.

Why TEDTalks?

We’d like to create a comfortable space in Kraków for creative debates about the role of technology, education, human behaviour in creating a more harmonious future, where ideas are the source of intelligent and constructive collaboration rather than conflict.

This month

We're all connected in some way, whether we like it or not.

This month at TEDxKrakówCinema we talked about connections and how they influence where we live, how we work, what we do and also whether technology can help or hinder us.

Even though opinion was divided and the group was large, we managed to have an interesting discussion on the basis of two inspiring TED Talks. The first was Marcin Jakubowski whose Open Source Ecology Project allows anyone to build over 50 farming machines such as a tractor, from scratch. The second was Yves Rossy who attaches himself to a kerosene-fuelled wing which he steers using only the movements of his body, flying high above the Swiss Alps and the Grand Canyon. Are there any limits to what humans can do? And is there anyone among us who would go fly with the Jetman?
